Wallace Designs is excited to announce its next major release, Fighting Fantasy Adventures, which successfully funded on Gamefound in August 2023. Based on the iconic series of books created by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, the co-operative card game allows up to four players to experience the classic adventures in a completely new way.

Martin Wallace, the co-designer of the number one rated board game ‘Brass: Birmingham’, has developed an elegant card-based system that gives the feel of a role-playing game without the need for a game master. The first campaign will comprise five adventures, based on four beloved books, with the promise of more to come.

In Fighting Fantasy Adventures: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain and other stories, you can experience the stories in a whole new way. Now you can play with up to three friends in a co-operative format. Gameplay is easy to learn and engaging, downtime is limited to some dice rolls, and your characters level up after each adventure.

• Island of the Lizard King
• Deathtrap Dungeon
• The Forest of Doom (in two parts)

Fighting Fantasy Adventures includes:

• The Box – 27x22x7.6cm (approx), linen finished, gold foil on logo, interior of box also printed. It will also include 6 tuckboxes featuring beautiful art inspired by the books to keep your adventures organised.
• One Instruction Book — you’ll skim this at the start, but it’s not long or complicated. The book will have a linen finish.
• Many Hero Cards + Ability Cards — including three choices of character skins, so you can each pick your favourites. All cards will have a luxurious linen finish, 300gsm, and are 70mmx95mm. (These fit in Sleeve Kings size M with some trimming needed.)
• 64+ Tokens — for your characters, monsters, your party, and for Skill, Stamina, Luck, as well as tokens specific to each of the six adventures. These will be wooden tokens with the art heat transferred onto them.
• One Tactical Board — for player order and for battles.
• 500+ Dungeon and Encounter Cards — each of the five adventures includes a custom set of cards in a separate full art tuck box to keep them organised. As a bonus, we’re also including our sample adventure. All cards will have a luxurious linen finish, 300gsm, and are 70mmx95mm. (These fit in Sleeve Kings size M with some trimming needed.)
• Four D6 Dice — two for the monsters, and two for the party. These will have the Fighting Fantasy logo engraved on the ‘6’ side.

Each adventure takes roughly 90-180 minutes to play, providing 10-15 hours of total game time.

We are also including the prototype Sample Adventure (Quest for the Orb of Lucis) as a bonus.
