The set introduces new heroes, companions, and spells that strengthen existing decks and enable entirely new combinations. Many cards are designed with strong synergies, giving cards combinations and building cooperation within your deck an even greater role during gameplay.

Altered is a new Trading Card Game that manages to distinguish itself from other TCGs in a unique way. Analog and digital blend harmoniously thanks to innovative technology. For instance, every card contains a QR code so you can easily add your cards to your online collection. With the accompanying but optional app, you can exchange and trade your cards, build tournament decks, and print on-demand. Unique cards are truly unique. If you open a unique card, there is no other identical one.
How do you play Altered?
The goal of the game is simple: reunite your hero or heroine with their magical companion. As soon as you succeed, you have won the game. The hero and the companion face each other and must traverse a path through unknown terrain. By playing cards that match the type of terrain one of them is currently on, they can get closer to each other. However, your opponent will try the same thing, and only the strongest or smartest wins. A tactical, peaceful game with many possibilities to victory!
You might know the game's creators from Dixit, Mysterium, Seasons, and Dice Forge. The art is particularly colorful and full of magic, and every card has its own story!

A starter deck is everything you need to start playing immediately and begin your first collection. The starter deck contains a ready-to-play 40- cards deck of the chosen faction, including one hero card. Furthermore, a starter deck contains five adventure cards, 15 cardboard tokens to use during gameplay, and a paper playmat. Additionally, the deck includes a random foiler token for a common, rare, or unique card. You can use this to have a card foil printed on demand.
